Love is schweeeet!!!

Awwww... Jackie and Ed got married on Saturday. Aunty Charmaine looked so fantastic walking Jackie down the aisle. There were just too many Jackie Chan jokes... poor girl. Ed wore tails, and the best man, Glen, was like twice his height =) Ed's also got a really hilarious family! During the reception, they were having way too much fun singing karaoke and dancing. One of his uncles even had a red velvet-y looking tuxedo. Apparently they nicknamed him "Elvis" in the family.

I will post photos up when I get the URL - Shu took some pretty nice black-and-white ones too, so hopefully will get copies of those to post up.

Oh and Tara (my team leader who's on leave), came in today and brought her triplets with her! They are sooooo cute! Imagine three identical little girls in matching clothing with pink sneakers that have flashing pink lights. Like their mother, they are all blonde and blue-eyed. Absolutely gorgeous.

Besides that, recovering.. sore back, sore neck, the works. But thanking God I'm alive!

Car accident

Bang! It happened so quick. And no, I wasn't driving. Then suddenly there were fire engines and police cars everywhere. Then a ride to Royal North Shore Hospital in an ambulance. Thankfully noone was badly hurt... just whiplash and bruising all around. God is good and gracious! And obviously, he's not done with me yet...

A few amusing (in hindsight) things happened that night:
1) The woman in the car in front had her door jammed shut due to the angle of incidence. This was subsequently reported to 000 as "trapped in car". The "trapped in car" code results in 3 fire engines and 5 police cars appearing on the scene and blocking off the entire Carlingford road. All it took was a simple crowbar to get her out - she was unhurt save aforemention injuries.

2) The tow truck guys arrived 4 mins after the accident. The police/fireys 15 mins and the ambos 18 mins after. And noone called the towies.

3) In hospital, they hooked us up to this ECG machine - the ones you see on movies that measure your heart rate by giving out a series of steady beeps. Helen's came undone and you get the resulting flat line and continuous alarm that happens when someone goes into cardiac arrest. This went on for about 5 minutes before someone came to check she was ok... bit worrying given its an emergency room.

Thank you to those of you who have been praying for us. God was really looking after us that night and in the aftermath. Praying now for speedy recovery and for Helen & Dave as they try to get their car road-worthy again.

@ Suwabara (Kit)

Fine.. this is an EXTRA special post because Kit feels I don't blog enough about him. I mean, talk about DEMANDING. It's not like just anyone gets a mention in my blog but since he's being a whingy little kid about it... here ya go =P

In case you don't know what a Suwabara is, he's a sword-weilding, butt kicking baker in the series Yakitate Japan. Or in Kit's case, a male troll priest in a pretty dress with an inability to heal or shackle properly. Lucky for him, the fact his a priest is more than enough to qualify him for most raids and instance groups.

Better not say anymore... not good to upset the only thing that stands between you and death + big repair bill.

EDIT: Suwabara is also the guy that keeps getting pwned by fellow baker and main character Azuma Kazuma. Only Kit would name himself after a serial loser >.<

Addicted again!

Sigh... I'm not sure if it's good or not... but I'm back to playing WoW regularly again! It all started with a 'welcome back' run, where Aden and Ben (Cai & Bearwitness) took me to Scholo - and I got my ancient bone bow! Great way to come back to the game.

Then Kit gave me all these complicated instructions to install GEM.. which allows me to see when raids are going... so I'm preparing to sign my life away to the game again. While we're on the topic, Kit, thank you very very much for patiently waiting for me to figure out how to install, despite the threats to kill me =) What can I say? Having an IT degree doesn't mean you actually have to KNOW anything!

The one thing I miss is running with the 'old gang'. The days of doing instances with groups comprising solely of shamans (shamen?) and hunters - we were a great team. Though I have to say, it's a tad better running instances with priests - even if the priest REFUSES to shackle in Scholo and Strat. For those of you who have no clue what I'm talking about, and would like to know, I have some free recommendation trial thingies to give out. Warning though - serious addiction may result.

Anyway... that's enough for tonight. Soooo upset with Blizz for bringing maintenance time forward to 6pm. Just as I had coerced enough guys into doing a Strat UD guild run too =( Spent most of today's game time searching Desolace for Rexxar... good thing Cai found him, coz I was sure about to give up! Since maintenance was early, went to the gym instead - riveting stuff! Anyway... goodnight world for now!

Long time no blog

Been a long time since my last entry - but I am glad to be back! Last week saw me stuck in bed a lot - managed to injure my back somehow, which had be waddling around in pain for the whole week. Soooo not fun. And do you know how much pain is inflicted on a person who has to get their back x-rayed?? Like you would think they are supposed to FIX the problem, not make it worse. But there I was being asked to contort myself into all sorts of weird positions so they could get a good shot of my back. Needless to say, I was a lot worse post my stint on the x-ray table.

Then in comes spring, and up comes the cold. I spend ALL winter trying to catch a cold/flu off someone so I can get a few days in bed (coz its too cold to get up in the morning). Despite my efforts, I spent the whole winter healthy. Then come Sept 1, things are warming up... and Mary gets a cold. The kind that's enough to annoy you and make you wooly headed but not enough to justify time off work. Such is life....

Oh but in other good news - I bought 2 skirts and a pair of jeans for $10!!! Out the front of Eastwood arcade is this little stall that you can rent. On Sunday, a couple of asians were there with clothes laid out on plastic bags. Each item was $5 or 3 items for $10. They had jeans, formal dresses, suit jackets, skirts, everything! Wonder where they got all those clothes from though - looked so dodgy. But eh, not complaining.

Things I still have to blog about in the next few days:
- RICE aftermath
- Lighthouse
- Mini Olympics Day
- Cowra

So much to do, so much to do. Oh and I spoke to Peter (Peidarn/Polazee), who should now be in Paris. He's alive but broke - and that's all you need to know! Better get back to work now....
